She is the Wind

Standing at the ocean’s side,
she spreads her wings.
Into the wind, she screams,
as the waves lick her dusty feet.
She lifts her chin to the sky
and wails in anguish.
The rain from within,
wet on her face.
Assaulted by the wind;
fervent and relentless.
Afraid to be swallowed
while she is being shaped.
Becoming the wind itself.
